Canvas work is my newest love in the needlework field. Mono canvas has larger holes so I can see it more easily and stitch canvas work when the migraines are bad. Canvas work is sturdier and has a textural component that is missing in most counted cross stitch. As can be seen, I chose most of these pieces for the texture 🙂
Canvas work uses a LOT of fibres and threads that are not commonly used in counted cross stitch. So most of the fibres called for in these charts are not in my stash. As such kits would be fantastic, but they are expensive. So charts canvas work charts will take a while to be stitched as I gather the materials.
If you are interested in getting into Canvas work for yourself I recommend checking out the websites for each of these designers as they do many other styles than the ones I chosen.
As can be seen at the websites, some of these designers sell their own work, and most do offer the option of chart only or full kit. Otherwise try Nordic Needle, Fireside Stitchery, or Silver Needle for supplies if you wish to stitch these beautiful designs.
